EFA7 - Personal Detector of Proximity to Dangerous Voltage
General description
The purpose of the EFA7 handheld electric field detector is to provide an early indication of the proximity of dangerous medium voltages (typically from 6 to 110 kV), 50 Hz (optionally 60 Hz), to prevent electric shock due to unwanted violation of the safety distance. The detector measures the level of the fundamental harmonic intensity of the alternating electric field and, if the set level is exceeded, immediately alerts the worker by a strong signal to the dangerous situation so that he can react in time. In the case of high voltages (over 110 kV), the strength of the electric field is so high that it is not possible to set the sensitivity to such a low level and therefore in these cases the device can only be considered as detecting the presence of voltage in a object.
The EFA7 is available in two cases, the red one is suitable for conventional wrist wear, the black one offers the use of straps of different lengths and therefore the possibility of wearing it over work clothing.
